Rooted in community empowerment and ecological responsibility, this programme seeks to enhance household food security among small, marginalised, and vulnerable farming families by strengthening their knowledge, skills, and access to opportunities.

Understanding the urgency of climate variability, declining soil fertility, and market vulnerabilities, ECOMWEL has initiated structured interventions that combine capacity building, field-based demonstrations, community institutions, and knowledge exchange platforms.

Strengthen Demonstration Farms
To establish and reinforce model farms adopting principles of organic and sustainable farming, creating practical learning spaces that promote household food security
Promote Collective Farming Among Women
To empower women through collective farming models that enhance productivity, leadership, and economic independence.
Organise Training & Exposure Visits
To facilitate structured training programmes and exposure visits on sustainable agriculture for farmers (including women farmers), children, students, and community groups.
Establish Community-Managed Seed Banks
To promote indigenous seed collection, preservation, sharing, and exchange, thereby safeguarding biodiversity and reducing dependence on external inputs.
Strengthen Information Sharing & Campaigns
To create platforms for documentation, awareness campaigns, and community-level dissemination of sustainable agricultural knowledge.

Model Farm Strengthening
